Heart of Horsforth Awards 2025

A massive congratulations to our 2025 Heart of Horsforth winners! It was a difficult decision to make from all the fantastic entries for people doing amazing things in our town.

The following awards were presented by Chair of Horsforth Town Council, Gill Garvani and MP for Leeds North West at the Horsforth Christmas lights switch on 6 December:

Volunteering award - over 21s

Jen Lewis for the work she has done to transform cricket for women with hard work and dedication at Horsforth Cricket Club.

Business award

Fay Cartlidge, owner of Daisy First Aid Leeds, for her hard work at Daisy First Aid Leeds in recognition of her outstanding dedication to supporting families and strengthening the local community.

Community award

Horsforth Shed for their incredible work developing the Horsforth Shed, creating a usable, better-insulated building for people with diverse needs to make and mend projects using wood and other materials.

Environmental award

Cragg Hill and Woodside Residents’ Group for their amazing work in helping improve the local area including footpath repairs, improvements to the green spaces throughout Woodside and their assistance involving Cygnet assisted living residence on Outwood Lane.
