CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON
2024
Our Christmas light switch-on event was planned to take place on Town Street as in previous years. However the weather had other plans for us. Storms and high winds tried to dampen the day, but nothing was going to stop us. Despite having very limited notice, many of the businesses on Town Street rallied round to ensure that the show did still go on!
Sadly not all the entertainment we had planned could go ahead due to space issues, but we relocated our Santa's grotto to the museum, The Old King's Arms, Beyond the Red Door, Hooleos Mexican, Venue, Costa Coffee hosted our Christmas market stalls and live music and we were able to live stream the lights switch-on from The Green. Some brave souls even ventured out to see it in person.
A huge thanks to our amazing community for coming together and making the very best out of a rubbish situation.

2023
In 2023 we collaborated with the Horsforth Town Team, a group of local businesses who work together to put on events and activities in the Horsforth area. This collaboration meant we can provide a bigger event than in previous years, creating a full day event of music, entertainment and Christmas market.
What an incredible event it was and great to see so many people of Horsforth out enjoying entertainment, activities and market in the winter sunshine.
Big thanks were given to everyone involved in bringing this Christmas extravaganza to Horsforth, including the Town Councillors, local businesses, our first aiders, traffic management, Police, stage and sound engineers and all the people and businesses behind Horsforth Town Team (Hello Horsforth). Thank you too to The Grove Methodist Church, Horsforth Churches Together, Horsforth Museum and Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Finally, we wish to thank all our performers and special guests, including Dave Prater - Music, LS18 Rocks, the choirs from Horsforth Newlaithes Primary School, Horsforth St Margaret's CE Primary School, Horsforth St Mary's Primary School and Horsforth Featherbank Primary School, Love Pop Choir, DJ sets from Jon Miles, Pagey and Gin Lizzie, Old Skool Anthems, Santa Claus, Ronnie the Rhino, Leeds Rhinos players Sam Lisone and Justin Sangaré, and all our award winners.
