Horsforth litter picks

Everyone is needed to help Horsforth Town Council and Horsforth Litter Pickers do a big clean up of Horsforth. Each ward is hosting a litter pick during the Sundays of October between 10:30am and 12:30pm:
Hall Park ward and Crabtree land Sunday, 5 October meeting outside Morrisons on Town Street.
Woodside and Victoria wards Sunday, 12 October meeting outside Tesco on New Road Side.
Broadfields ward Sunday, 19 October meeting outside Morrisons Daily on Broadgate Lane.
Brownberrie ward Sunday, 26 October meeting ot the flower bed at the junction of Long Row and Station Road.
Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions and bring your own litter picker, hi vis vest and gloves if possible. These will be provided for those who don't have their own.
Purple bags will be provided to collect litter in. Full bags of litter can be left by LCC litter bins or bus stops. Please return all equipment borrowed to the meeting point at 12.30pm. Please email us with how many bags you want to collect.
If possible please collect aluminium cans, glass bottles and vapes separately for recycling. Cans to go in your green bin, glass bottles in a bottle bank and vapes at battery recycling points, e.g. Morrisons. Do not attempt to pick up dog poo, broken glass, asbestos or sharps, e.g. needles.
• Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by and remain the responsibility of a parent/carer when taking part in the litter pick.
• Guidance and a risk assessment will be provided on the day and participation in the litter picking event is at your own risk.
