A huge congratulations to Megan Eyeington of St Margaret's C of E Primary School who is the winner of the poster competition to help promote Horsforth's Coronation celebration event on Saturday, 6 May on Town Street.

Celebrations will begin from 1:45pm with an opening parade down Town Street lead by piper, Alan Radford, Lawnswood Air Cadets, and Scout and Guides groups. The event will be officially opened by Colonel (Ret’d) S P Boardman MBE DL, Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire and Neighbourhood Host for Leeds 2023 Year of Culture, Kezia Roberts.

The day will be filled with performances from local music acts and street performers. Local makers will be selling their wares at the street stalls and many of the businesses on Town Street are taking part.

At 3pm the winners of our various competitions will be announced at the stage on The Green at the bottom of Town Street.

The Coronation celebration is a joint event with Horsforth Town Team, a collective of local businesses coming together to put on events and initiatives for the whole community.
