Coronation celebrations and competitions

On Saturday, 6th May Horsforth will be celebrating the Coronation of The King and Queen Consort with activities and celebrations for the whole family. More details of the event will be revealed in due course, but for now, Horsforth Town Council in conjunction with the Horsforth Town Team, are launching four Coronation themed competitions which may be of interest to our community members. 

The competitions are as follows. Click on the links to find out more about each one: 

1. Children's Design a Coronation themed poster

2. Coronation themed decorate the front of your house and/or gardens

3. Fancy dress competition

4. Businesses window display competition 

Winners of all the competitions will be announced and awarded their special Coronation themed prizes on Saturday, 6th May at around 3pm on the stage located near The Green at the bottom of Town Street.

Design a crown 

Also, not a competition, but something fun to do and get creative with. Please see below some templates for you to download, print out and design your own Royal Crown to wear over the Coronation weekend. Simply print on a sturdy card colour of your choice and decorate in your own way. There is an option to incorporate fabric too if you have it to hand.
