Vacancy for Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Horsforth Town Council is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the post of Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer.

The post is full time. A minimum of 30 hours to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. Working in the office of the council and attendance at meetings is required.

Salary in accordance with National Joint Council recommendations; pay scale LC2, points 26 to 32, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Must be IT literate, able to use the Microsoft Office suite and computer equipment is supplied.

Duties will include: acting as advisor to the council which involves learning the relevant legislation, preparation of the agenda, minute taking, compilation of correspondence, filing and accounts in addition to being the Responsible Financial Officer to the council. In addition, the Clerk is responsible for the management of other staff and council premises.

We expect the successful candidate to either be CiLCA qualified or already working towards CiLCA. If you are currently working towards CiLCA, the Council will support the completion of your training.
