Condolences from the Chair

Published: 08 November 2023

The events of the last 24 hours have sent shock waves through our community and have impacted all of us I'm sure, in very different ways.

I first of all just want to send my deepest condolences and to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends that have been impacted by the tragic events.

As I look around the community I am comforted and proud to see the way our community has come together in support of each other in the opening of St Margaret's Church and the vigil held last night on Broadgate Lane.

As Chair of the Town Council, I have reached out and offered our support to the High School and as a Council we will work closely with other community organisations in the coming days and weeks to provide the necessary support.

I also want to express my deepest thanks to the emergency services who attended and are still in attendance at the scene.

I also do urge anyone who witnessed the events of yesterday to call 101 or go online quoting references 0952 of 7/11.

Chair of Horsforth Town Council
